Reduce Electricity Costs and Find Energy
Opportunities that Improve Your Bottom Line.
We Have Ideas for Doing Both.
We advise multi-unit residential complexes and seniors homes throughout Ontario every month on whether they’re getting their electricity at the lowest price. If you meet certain conditions, you can choose the rate plan, either the Regulated Price Plan (RPP) or the Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP), under which your electricity company bills you. Every month, we can tell you which plan will likely save you money. Making the right choice can add up to thousands of dollars in savings a year. If you want to switch plans, we’ll contact the electricity company on your behalf to make sure you’re in the plan that saves you most. No fixed-price contracts, just our expert and timely recommendations. The only change you’ll see on your electricity bill is lower costs.
Of course, more energy efficient properties save on longterm energy costs. But along with reductions in energy consumption, improving overall energy efficiency should also work for the residents who occupy individual suites and use the common areas. After a detailed analysis of the energy use at your properties, we make the recommendations that deliver both a more comfortable environment and lower energy costs.
We know what works. For example, a microturbine in a combined cooling, heat and power (CCHP) system permanently reduces the amount of electricity required from the local utility. It can also provide backup power in an emergency to keep systems critical to occupants’ safety and comfort operational. Or maybe it’s time for something as simple as LED lighting with sensors to shut off non-essential lighting in common areas when they’re not occupied.
We think energy performance improvement at your properties should make life better for the people who live and work in them. And save you money.
